Keep an eye on your tire pressure. This is something that you can do easily at home with a tire gauge. Checking your tire pressure regularly will help to extend the life of your tires and improve your gas mileage.
Get regular tune-ups. These are important to keep your car running smoothly and efficiently. Most cars need a tune-up every 30,000 miles or so.
Change your air filter regularly. A dirty air filter can reduce the efficiency of your car’s engine and cause it to work harder than it needs to. Check your owner’s manual to see how often you should be changing your air filter, but as a general rule, it’s a good idea to change it every 12,000 miles or so.
